Listaan nyt muutaman YouTubestakin:

The Brickyard: Home of All the Junkies
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zP3dfePpOA0
This 23-minute documentary explores the lives of homeless heroin and crack addicts, sex workers, and drug dealers who inhabit a semi-concealed public space on Chicago's west side. The film offers a sneak peek into the feature-length documentary now in production.
BBC: IF... Drugs were legal
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uJq4qVr ... playnext=1
The IF series of drama-documentaries examines the existing problems with drug prohibition and hears the arguments in favour of legalisation.
Based on rigorous research and interviews with experts, the programme hears the arguments for leaving the most dangerous drug of all - crack cocaine - illegal, and examines how a legal and regulated system of drugs would work.
Hooked: Illegal Drugs and How They Got That Way
Marijuana: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fm8YednM ... playnext=1
Opiates: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQlk01sxO_E
HOOKED explores the world of illegal drugs, meeting with pharmacologists and scientists to learn exactly what effect they have on us and exploring the social and legislative changes that have transformed (and, some would argue, created) the drug culture of the 20th century. Outspoken advocates on both sides of the "war on drugs" illuminate this polarizing issue, and fascinating accounts and artifacts illustrate the role of drugs throughout history.

Afghanistan: Drugs, Guns and Money
http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p ... 2603B0A3B4
The war on drugs has slipped down the priority list. The business is booming. Afghanistan and its near neighbours still supply much of the heroin sold in Western Europe. Yesterday's drug lords are today's cabinet ministers. How much of a problem is it for America (and the West) that many of its newest allies are implicated in one of the most lucrative drug routes in the world?
Hofmann's Potion - LSD Documentary
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFfblVjCwOU
The documentary about LSD and how it was created, what usage it had, and how the early experiments were carried out by Albert Hofmann, Timothy Leary and others.
Documentary Fantastico about the Santo Daime Religion
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zFRAUJWo8c
This documantary with English subtitles shows a little bit of our beautiful doctrine and its his founders.

Better Living Through Circuitry
http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=b ... +circuitry
"Better Living Through Circuitry" is an insider's look at the electronic dance community and the culture it has spawned. A cross-section of the techno subculture is represented as ravers, DJs and musicians speak for themselves about their music and ideals. Insightful and entertaining, the film presents such dynamic aspects of rave culture as empowerment through technology, the DIY (do-it-yourself) ethic, and the flowering of a new spirituality embracing transcendence through sound and rhythm.

Mark Pesce's Becoming Transhuman
part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | torrent | transcript
Enthogenic enthusiasms with musical accompaniment, with a lot of media "borrowed" from other sources thanks to Napster and DeCSS. Wherein will be explained the mysteries of life, and after, pondering the problem of existence, with the unanswered question, "What is to be done?" in three parts and two interregna. So sit back, relax, fasten your seat belts, take your drugs, and be sure to keep your mind inside your body until time has come to a complete stop.

Becoming Transhuman (2001) is the stunning story of human possibilities - where we were, where we are, and where we are going. Spanning the entire range of history, from the birth of the universe to the death of the Sun, Becoming Transhuman asks the tough questions, and offers a few answers. With its stunning coordination of sight and sound, Becoming Transhuman will make you think. And maybe, even hope. The film is divided into three chapters.

Part One, Affirming, looks at what happens when humans reach apotheosis through evolution - when they become transhuman.

Part Two, Denying, reflects that for every action there's an equal reaction. Every gift is also a curse. When humans become transhuman, when they gain god-like powers, will they simply reduce the world to ash?

Part Three, Resolving, accepts the reality of both the utopian and dystopian points of view explored in parts one and two, and tries to chart a path to the future - one which preserves our essential humanity in the face of profound changes to human being.

Change your Mind Change your Brain: The Inner Conditions for Authentic Happiness
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 6171087119
If happiness is an inner state, influenced by external conditions but not dependent on them, how can we achieve it? Ricard will examine the inner and outer factors that increase or diminish our sense of well-being, dissect the underlying mechanisms of happiness, and lead us to a way of looking at the mind itself based on his book, Happiness: A Guide to Life's Most Important Skill and from the research in neuroscience on the effect of mind-training on the brain.

Speaker Bio: Matthieu Ricard, a gifted scientist turned Buddhist monk, is a best selling author, translator, and photographer. He has lived and studied in the Himalayas for the last 35 years where he currently works on humanitarian projects. YouTube-kanavia

Technology, Entertainment, Design: Ideas worth spreading
http://ted.com
TEDTalks began as a simple attempt to share what happens at TED with the world. Under the moniker "ideas worth spreading," talks were released online. They rapidly attracted a global audience in the millions. Indeed, the reaction was so enthusiastic that the entire TED website has been reengineered around TEDTalks, with the goal of giving everyone on-demand access to the world's most inspiring voices.

Today, TED is therefore best thought of as a global community. It's a community welcoming people from every discipline and culture who have just two things in common: they seek a deeper understanding of the world, and they hope to turn that understanding into a better future for us all.

The Colours of Infinity
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 4635185121
Arthur C. Clarke presents this unusual documentary on the mathematical discovery of the Mandelbrot Set (M-Set) in the visually spectacular world of fractal geometry. This show relates the science of the M-Set to nature in a way that seems to identify the hand of God in the design of the universe itself. Dr. Mandelbrot in 1980 discovered the infinitely complex geometrical shape called the Mandelbrot Set using a very simple equation with computers and graphics. Soundtrack by David Gilmour.

Black Tar Heroin: The Dark End of the Street
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 7096606123
An extraordinary look at two years in the lives of five young heroin addicts, Black Tar Heroin offers a rare and intimate portrait of how heroin devastates young lives. The film chronicles the daily lives of Jake, Jessica, Tracey, Oreo and Alice, three young women and two young men, ages 18 to 25, as they face the ever-present perils of hard core drug addiction.

The film shows the brutality and degradation of the drug life, but also depicts the addicts' pain and raw yearning -- to get clean, to hold relationships together, to re-connect with their families, to get their lives back.
Mush-Room (English subtitles)
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 3623691115
A docu-comedy about Israeli escapism. Four youngsters fly to Amsterdam in order to take mushrooms, and run away from everything: fear, responsibility, authority, conformity. The option of running away is not obvious for them, and is filled with internal struggles on the value of sanity. But the psychedelic illusion will do just the opposite: it will tell them something about the reality that shaped them, and about the personal place from which they are coming from. In the course of their trip they will discover they still have enough reason to love, and that after all, they still have the strength to laugh their brains out.

Masters of Darkness: Aleister Crowley
http://www.guba.com/watch/3000051250
The British press described him as 'the wickedest man in the world', he drove many of his lovers to madness and inspired the free-love generation of the 1960s. But Aleister Crowley, dark magician, poet and author, died a penniless drug addict who questioned his own philosophies. He spent his life proclaiming himself to be 'the beast 666', but was he just a spoilt rich boy rebelling against a repressive mother?

Richard Dawkins' The Enemies of Reason: Slaves to Superstition & The Irrational Health Service
part 1 | part 2
Is it rational that the dead can communicate with the living and give sound advice on how they should live their lives? What about sticking pins into your body to free the flow of Chi energy and cure your illness? Or the bending of spoons using your mind alone? Is that rational? Richard Dawkins doesn’t think so, and feels it is his duty to expose those areas of belief that exist without scientific proof, yet manage to hold the nation under their spell. He will take on the world’s leading proponents in their field of expertise, meet the victims who have used them and expose the history of the movements – from the charlatans who have milked these practices to the experiments and testing that have failed to produce conclusive results.
Chocolate, Cheese, Meat, and Sugar -- Physically Addictive Foods

Neal Barnard MD discusses the science behind food additions. Willpower is not to blame: chocolate, cheese, meat, and sugar release opiate-like substances. Dr. Barnard also discusses how industry, aided by government, exploits these natural cravings, pushing us to eat more and more unhealthy foods. A plant-based (vegan) diet is the solution to avoid many of these problems. Neal Barnard is the founder of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM).

Hunter S. Thompson Symposium Video
http://www.hunterthompsonfilms.com/videos.php
Juan Thompson and the Aspen Institute hosted a symposium on July 21, 2007 on the work of the late writer Hunter S. Thompson who created his own genre of writing with Gonzo Journalism and changed American political reporting forever with his book Fear & Loathing on the Campaign Trail ‘72.

Thirty-five years later journalists Carl Bernstein, Michael Isikoff of Newsweek, Loren Jenkins of NPR, John Nichols of The Nation and others came together in a symposium moderated by Professor Douglas Brinkley to discuss the effect of Hunter’s work on political reporting and American politics

The hour and half event is exclusively available at http://www.HunterThompsonFilms.com in nineteen clips of free, streaming video produced by Wayne Ewing.

Moebius Redux
http://www.altertube.tv/view_video.php? ... f575aff282
French artist and author Jean Giraud is one of the most famous and influential comic strip illustrators and authors of all time. He achieved his greatest fame as Moebius - not so much a pseudonym as an alter ego. With his triple-split personality - Jean Giraud, Moebius, Gir - he succeeded in making his work accessible in popular comic strip series like Blueberry, in metaphysical fantasies like John Difool and, not least, to a broad public, with set designs for films such as The Fifth Element. As a co-founder of the comic magazine Métal Hurlant he shook up the world of bourgeois French comics and American super-heroes in 1975, creating a whole new 'grown up' way of looking at the comic strip art form. How could a man invent all those strange places and stories, collaborate with some of the world's maddest artists and even go so far to seriously prepare himself to be picked up by aliens - and then go live a quiet and secure life back in Paris? Was he ever in danger of losing his mind? Or was it necessary for his art to live a life like that, and out of self-protection to split into in different personalities? In Moebius Redux - A Life in Pictures an exceptional artist tells his life's and work's story. Artists he met and left on his way, join in: Longtime collaborators like Alejandro Jodorowsky and Philippe Druillet, Swiss artist H.R. Giger and Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee, admirers like Jim Lee and Mike Mignola. Their narration not only gives an insight in how they experienced working with Giraud, but also presents the fascinatingly woven network around one of the most important comic book artists ever. Inspired by Giraud's visual power Moebius Redux: A Life in Pictures animates the diversity and dynamic of his work. Extraordinary views on Paris, Los Angeles and the Mexican desert build a visual link between his life and his artistic universe, accompanied by the electronic soundtrack composed by "Kraftwerk" legend Karl Bartos.

Onko tietoa koska toi luento on ollut?
02. 10. 1998, sanoo http://www.avrecord.de/psychact.htm.
Paul Stamets speaks at the 1999 Psychoactivity Conference in Amsterdam. Eli olisiko noi kuitenkin samalta vuodelta.

The Pharmacratic Inquisition 2004. 3h 23min luento sienistä ja miten ne liittyvät uskontoihin.
The Pharmacratic Inquisition 2007. Uudempi 1h 51min dokumenttiversio.
Kannattaa katsoa molemmat. Luentoversiossa on asiat yksityiskohtaisemmin mutta siellä on myös joitain virheitä jotka on mainittu pätkän kotisivuilla. Dokumenttiversiossa noita juttuja on kehitelty hieman pidemmälle. Molemmissa on juttuja joita toisessa ei ole.

Cyberpunk documentary
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 1332675106
"Cyberpunk" is a 60-minute documentary, the ad for which states: "What started as a book became a literary movement. What was a literary movement became a subculture".

And that's one of the major flaws of this film. It perpetuates the general myth that everything "cyberpunk" expanded out of "Neuromancer" and Gibson's vision. In truth, most of the stuff covered here (virtual reality, hacking, industrial music, cybernetics, designer drugs, anarchy) was already developing quite nicely before Lord Gibson, Chairman Bruce, and the rest (Shirley, Rucker, Shiner) were kind enough to provide a fictional universe in which to fuse these disparate explorations.
The production of "Cyberpunk" is very inconsistent, too -- some parts are professional documentary, while other parts have the odor of quick-cash opportunism. The breathy women narrator is ultimately aggravating, oh-ing and ah-ing over all this stuff.

But there is some good material here, including interviews with Gibson, Leary, Scott Fisher (of NASA/Ames), Brenda Laurel, Vernon Reed (Living Color), Bill Leeb (Front Line Assembly) and others. There's also some cool computer graphics (circa 1989) and an industrial soundtrack with Front Line Assembly, Ministry, and Severed Heads.

"Cyberpunk" is still a must-see since it's the only documentary about cyberpunk that we have.

Produced and Directed by Marianne Trench and Peter von Brandenberg.
Intercon Productions, 1990.

Surplus - Terrorized Into Being Consumers

Surplus: Terrorized Into Being Consumers is a 2003 Swedish documentary film on consumerism and globalization, created by director Erik ... all » Gandini and editor Johan Söderberg. It opens with footage of the protests at the 27th G8 summit in Genoa and prominently features the views of anarcho-primitivist John Zerzan.
...
The documentary relies heavily on fast-paced audio-visual collage techniques, resembling MTV videos and commercials. It uses lip-synching in a distinctively Swedish attempt to subvert the ideas of those in power, like having George W. Bush speak for Adbusters or Fidel Castro mouth the words of Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer: "I love this company! Yeah!" It also uses music to emphasize action
